Have you ever had that feeling?
It happens when you’re doing those things you love and there’s that moment when everything just clicks and it all feels effortless.
All the practice, practice, practice finally pays off.
It’s not always easy getting to that point. But the hard work you put in is always worth it.
There’s nothing like that feeling.
I remember when I first started playing the bass guitar.
I taught myself by toiling away, making noise.
Stumbling along, hoping the notes would eventually fall into place.
At some point, I’d find my way to a sound. And it was magic.
But you need more than magic to create great content marketing.
Great content marketing requires the same practice, practice, practice.
It’s a craft that must be studied. It’s a craft that must be practiced.
Only through hard work and an openness to learn do you become highly effective at capturing attention and getting what you want.
A content marketing approach forces you to attack a problem from someone else’s point of view.
It allows you to add value to any situation. And become a trusted partner.
Committing to this craft requires the heart of an indie artist.
Do you have the heart of an indie artist?
In my view, indie is simply a do-it-yourself mentality.
Indie means you’re not waiting around for permission. Indie means you create your own opportunities. Indie means you set your sights on a goal — and then you make it happen with whatever resources you have at the moment.
Indie means you surround yourself with like-minded people who provide you the encouragement to keep going through the tough times.
What is an artist?
Many people think an artist is someone who paints, someone who sculpts, or someone who writes a poem — I believe an artist is something more.
An artist is a practitioner.
An artist practices his/her craft. An artist seeks feedback from trusted sources in order to improve. An artist wants to grow. An artist needs to continually move forward. An artist is actively engaged in their craft. Whatever it may be.
An indie artist is a force to be reckoned with.
