When it comes to audience engagement this is pretty much brilliant. Not only did the Baltimore Symphony attract over 400 people to participate in their Rusty Musicians with the BSO Program. But they also created a situation where their community would bring in a new audience.
Tickets for these events sold for $10. I’d be interested to find out what attendance was like for the these performances. As a follow up the program they also sold a week of master classes to interested rusty musicians. Nice way to leverage the program and create a new income stream.
