Looks like I’ve been tagged in this virtual game of musical, er, Tag. Be sure to check out Mr. Sterling Lynch’s original song – Changeling.
I’m a lyric guy. So I’m glad Sterling included his words in his post. I find myself looking for words that pop out at me without necessarily reading them in context. It allows me to gain a sense of feeling. To relate somehow internally to the words that strike a nerve inside me.
“Time.” My one word takeaway.
So a song that seems to fit.
Written on a sleepless night many years ago. Christmas Eve in Massachusetts. Restless. A feeling I tried to capture.
Enjoy.
Relax
by Dave CharestSometimes I’m up all night
Wonderin’ where the time will find meAlone, uptight, afraid
If I could leave the past behind meWho knows? Who cares? So what?
I didn’t want it that much anywayWhen will the time come down?
Maybe it was yesterdayAnd after all is said and done
Perhaps I’m not the only oneRelax, won’t let it get me down
Relax, won’t let it get me down
Oh no…Wake up, I’m late, run out
How could the world start without meBehind, catch up, no way
This dance of life is all around meYour game, my rules, who’ll win
Who’s keeping score anyway?Sometimes I’m up all night
And tomorrow is todayAnd after all is said and done
Perhaps I’m not the only oneRelax, won’t let it get me down
Relax, don’t let it get you down
Oh no…Sometimes I’m up all night…

Nice! The thematic overlap is a nice touch too! This is a good game we’ve invented!
Your sound quality and video is infinitely better than mine. What are you using?
